Ahead of Computex 2017 which is scheduled to begin next week in Taiwan, Acer has unveiled a new 2-in-1 hybrid Windows 10 laptop dubbed Spin 1, a lesser variant of Spin 3 that was launched last year but got released in India in February.
The Spin 1 takes some of its design from Spin 3 including the hairline brush metal body and silver hinge that can be flipped up to 360-degree to use in tablet, tent, and laptop mode. It also inherit the full-HD IPS multi-touch display with “Acer Color Intelligent” technology that optimize gamma, brightness and saturation, and “Acer BlueLight Shield” that reduces eye strain.
It however features a smaller 11.6-inch screen (the former has a 15.6-inch screen) and a less powerful processor. The firm made it known that the laptop supports its Active Stylus pen which will seamlessly work with Windows Ink, letting users to write, draw and sketch on the display as if they are writing on paper.
The 2-in-1 is configured with Intel Celeron processor with 4GB of DDR3L RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC storage. Acer is also offering a variant with Intel Pentium processor. In terms of connectivity, the Spin 1 supports USB 3.1 port, USB 2.0 port, HDMI port, Bluetooth, and a MicroSD slot.
There is an HD webcam at the front above the display. Also included is a digital mic and stereo speakers enhanced with Acer Trueharmony technology.
