The Nokia 6.2 announced at the IFA 2019 is more or less the Nokia 7.2 that was also unveiled at the event, but it is made to be cheaper. In this regard, the hardware have been tweaked to justify the price – this means you get a lesser chipset and a fair camera to play with, which in all essence are the only difference if you aim to buy any of the two. But it still worth the upgrade if you are coming from Nokia 6.1.
The Nokia 6.2 shared the same screen with Nokia 7.2, a 6.39-inch PureDisplay Full HD+ (2340×1080) LCD display with Waterdrop notch that is HDR10 certified. The display offered 500 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. HMD Global revealed that the display has a dedicated visual processor “Pixelworks” that can upscale video content to HDR.
Under-the-hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core chipset running at a speed of 1.8GHz, paired with up to 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of storage. A MicroSD slot is provided to further expand the storage up to 512GB, while graphics is handled by the Adreno 512 GPU.
Triple camera are located at the back of the Nokia 6.2; the primary camera has a 16MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, the secondary camera is an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (118°) with an f/2.2 aperture, while the tertiary is a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture for portrait shots. At the front resides an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. Unlike the 7.2, these does not have ZEISS lens.
Different optimizations are put in place to make sure that users get the most out of the cameras, among these are “AI-powered Night Mode” for bright photos in low-light and creative adjustable bokeh effects when using Portrait mode.
Security is provided by a fingerprint sensor that is mounted to the Gorilla Glass glass back of the phone in addition to face unlock brought by the front camera. The Nokia 6.2 runs Android One based on Android 9.0 Pie (upgradeable to Android 10), and it also have dedicated dual SIM slot and Google Assistant button. Connectivity onboard includes Bluetooth 5, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), Dual 4G VoLTE, 3G, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C (2.0), NFC (region dependent), 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio.
The device body is made out of Polymer Composite. HMD Global said the material is twice as strong as polycarbonate and half as heavy as Aluminium. It measures 159.88×75.11×8.25mm, weighs 180 grams, while the power is supplied by a 3500mAh battery with fast charging supports.
The Nokia 6.2 will be available in Europe at a price of €199 for the 3GB/32GB version, and €249 for the 4GB/64GB version. Sales will begin in October. Buyers will have the option to chose between Ice and Ceramic Black colors when ordering one.ADS=>GET Ultimate Bet9ja Hacks and Secretes to Win #100K Daily (Grab your copy #2000 Only)- CLICK HERE
