Alcatel has officially launched Flash Plus 2, its latest mid-end smartphone for international markets. It features a 5.5-inch IPS OGS display with full-HD (1920×1080) resolution, flaunting a pixel density of 401ppi and 1000:1 contrast ratio. A 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) chipset drive it on the inside, coupled with Mali-T860 GPU.
The phone comes in two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, both of which are expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. Android 6.0 Marshmallow governs all software activities, and there are two SIM slots onboard for dual use. A fingerprint sensor is embedded below the physical home button which Alcatel claims can unlock the device within 0.5 seconds.

In photography, the Flash Plus 2 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus and dual-tone LED flash, while a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera with f/2.2 aperture is placed at the front, also accompanied with a LED flash. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.
Wrapped in a full aluminium unibody that measures 152.6×76.4×8.2mm, the smartphone comes with AKM4375 Chipset and NXP9890 Audio Amplifier for immense audio experience. The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 2GB RAM version is priced at $160 USD, and the 3GB RAM version at $190 USD. It will be available in selected markets including Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam in Venus Gold and Lunar Silver colours when it go on sale later this month.
