Archos earlier this week launched five Android smartphones under its “Helium” series, the company however has again made a new addition ahead of IFA which will kick-start later this week. The 55 Diamond Selfie as called comes in two variants, 3GB RAM with 16GB storage labelled as Lite version, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version. Besides the difference in RAM and storage capacity, both versions sports same specifications and body design.
Specwise, the Archos 55 Diamond Selfie features a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touch display with full-HD (1920×1080) resolution, and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, slammed with Adreno 505 GPU. The internal storage that comes with the device can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card, and there is a fingerprint sensor at the back for smart security.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow takes care of all software activities and there are two SIM slots onboard with dual standby. Sitting at the rear is a 16-megapixel camera boasting Qualcomm Ubifocus Technology and a LED flash, while it houses an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Notably, both cameras are capable of recording full-HD (1080p) video. On the connectivity front, the phone offers Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS/A-GPS. It measures 155×76.6×7.7mm and weigh 184 grams, and is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge.
The Lite version of Archos 55 Diamond Selfie is priced at €179.99 ($201 USD) and the standard version with 4GB RAM at €199.99 ($223 USD). It will be showcase at IFA in Berlin and is expected to go on sale later in September.
