When it comes to ruggedness in the tablet/laptop space, two companies cannot be left behind, Panasonic with its Toughbook series and Dell with its Latitude series. At this year IFA event in Berlin, Dell made an appearance with a new rugged 2-in-1 hybrid Windows tablet, the Latitude 7212.
As could be expected on a device such as this, the Latitude 7212 is built to withstand and survive in extreme conditions that won’t fair well with other consumer laptops out there. It can withstand shock and vibration; works in blowing dust and sand, and can be fully operated in an environment with temperature as low as -29ºC and as high as 63ºC. The tablet can survive most drops as well.
