CONUA’s enrollment is drawn from college teachers who are opposed to ASUU.

Mr. Ngige lamented the long strike by ASUU, saying that it had negatively affected the educational advancement of the nation.

“We are accepting you in audience formally today in this service. We have the option to get associations of people that are laborers, if we have enrolled them, similarly as you have the option to apply for registration which is the lawful activity,” he said.

“We have the option to get and hold gatherings with you. The excursion to having you enlisted has recently started.

“You have made the best choice by applying and this service has also made the best decision by preparing your registration.

“The survey of your application for registration is continuous. I have set up a panel to investigate that audit. I will ask the panel to wrap up its work.

“We are allowing them a month from today to turn in their report to the service.

“Part of our employment here is to enroll unions; it is also part of our responsibility to make sure that unions that are not functional are helped,” Mr. Ngige said.

He, in any case, complimented the college instructors for initiating the cycle to enlist the union.

Earlier, Mr. Sunmonu had said that CONUA was getting a charge out of large followership with many colleges, registering more individuals constantly since it came on board in February 2018.

He said CONUA was established because of irreconcilable contrasts between its individuals and ASUU.

“CONUA individuals are not individuals from ASUU and we are not ready to be part of ASUU because of irreconcilable contrasts and methods of operation.

“ASUU no longer speaks to our advantage and aspirations. CONUA fits to be portrayed as a gathering of individuals who are autonomous academics and who have chosen to meet up to frame a union focused on the advancement of education in Nigeria.”

Mr. Sunmonu denounced the drawn-out strike in the college frameworks and encouraged unions to decide to engage the government usefully rather than down devices without fail, thinking about the negative impact of that on the educational framework.

He said that CONUA if finally enlisted, would always valuably engage the government.

“The government cannot perceive what we see and we won’t perceive what the government sees, yet when we have our brain made up in a helpful manner, we will go to a reasonable agreement to additional advancement our colleges and for the advancement of the nation.

“We want to guarantee a seamless and continuous academic calendar in the college framework.

“This strike has accomplished more damage than great. As academics and researchers, we should have evaluated the impact of the strike on our foundations, especially on our aggregate clairvoyant.

“From the preliminary report that we have, the strike has accomplished more mischief than anything to our colleges. Nigerian Universities should rank comfortably with any other college in any part of the world.”

On the Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System, he said that CONUA individuals were excited about registering regardless of a progression of threats.

He appealed to the priest to give a favorable climate to its individuals to go through the registration cycle with no encumbrances.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the federal government will meet with ASUU on Friday over the protracted strike.
