Huawei Honor 7 in colors

With Meizu launching its own flagship which is MX5 today, Huawei has also choose this lucky day to launched their next smartphone in Honor series, the Honor 7 (coincidence? May be). Both firms are based in China and it’s not surprising seeing them launched their device same day at roughly same time. Seems like our prediction earlier is true, ofcourse, second-quarter of 2015 ends today.

The Huawei Honor 7 as announced comes in two storage variants, splitted in different models. The 16GB version with 3G-only is priced at $322 USD, 16GB version with LTE at $355 USD, while the 64GB version with LTE support is priced at $400 USD, all versions storage are expandable via MicroSD card. The smartphone will first go on sale in China before it rollout globally while the exact day it will start shipping is not mentioned.

The Huawei Honor 7 is wrapped in a premium aluminium body which measures 143.2 x 71.9 x 8.5 mm, weighting it down to 157 grams. It features a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixel, flaunting a pixel density of 423ppi. Under the hood, the device is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Kirin 935 processor clocked at 2.2GHz alongside with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T628 GPU.

It offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Emotion UI 3.0. A fingerprint sensor is plastered at the back for smart security and authentication, also, it can give easy access to camera when touched. The Huawei Honor 7 harbours a 20-megapixel autofocus camera with phase detection, f/2.0 aperture at the upper rear area while there is also an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens camera at the front for best selfie shot.

On the connectivity front, the Honor 7 support Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, and LTE as previously mentioned. It is powered by a 3,100mAh battery with fast charging technology.
