11th placed Leeds take on 8th placed Everton tonight by 8:30pm at Elland Road in a clash that will feature two veteran coaches in the persons of Marcos Biesla against Carlo Ancelotti.
Leeds come into this game with the knowledge that a win could bring them one point adrift of Everton despite having played a game more.
Leeds are back from a slump, now having won their past two games and are looking to grab a third victory against Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton.
Following their 1-0 win at Goodison Park in the reverse fixture, Leeds are looking to complete their first league double over Everton since 1990-91, when they were also a newly promoted side.
Everton have only won one of their last 37 top-flight away games against Leeds (D9 L27), winning 1-0 in November 2002 thanks to a Wayne Rooney goal.
Also, Leeds have won all three of their midweek Premier League games this season (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), scoring 12 goals and conceding three.
Leeds manager, Marcelo Bielsa could become only the fourth manager to win his first two top-flight managerial matches against Everton’s Carlo Ancelotti.
Meanwhile, Everton have won four of their last five away league games (D1), including each of the last three in a row. They last won four consecutive top-flight away games in December 1985.
Carlo Ancelotti will also be charged to claim victory at Elland Road, as a win today could take him as high as 5th position.
Though with Leeds high attacking football, a goalless draw isn’t an option. So the safest option is both teams score, as Leeds are not good on the defensive side. Both another option would be any team can win.
CcnWorldTech Betting Prediction: Both teams score (or Any team can win)
