LG G5 Android 7.0 Nougat Update Starts Rolling Out in Korea

LG has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to its high-end modular smartphone, G5, in Korea. The company made the announcement earlier today, confirming that the update is now available for LG G5 users in South Korea via OTA (over the air). Other regions including Asia and America will start receiving the update in coming weeks, according to LG.

To receive the update, users will need to enable auto update or manually check under phone settings -> about. The Android 7.0 Nougat brings a lot of new features and improvements, these includes enhanced multitasking, better battery management, enhanced notification system, new user interface, advance search and more.

To remind you, LG is the first company to release the first smartphone to run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, which is the V20.

Kim Hyung-jung, Senior Vice President and Head of LG Mobile’s Research and Development, said:

“At LG, we know our customers want the best, most up-to-date mobile experience. Getting software updates to our users faster than the competition is our way of demonstrating that LG is committed to supporting our products and customers to ensure they have a positive ownership experience.”
