- Competitive courses like Medicine, Pharmacy, Law e.t.c may not be made available as the space for these departments will be filled up already.
- If you apply for Medicine initially and change to Chemistry, it is not a guarantee of being given Chemistry. However, your chances of gaining admission increases with how fast you apply and how high you aggregate score is.
- You may be given another course without applying for change of course. However, this is not always so.

Will there be change of course form in oau this year
It depends on the quota that is available for admission and the normal of people that have met the requirements already. If there is no quota available, the form might not be released publicly. However, that doesn’t mean you can ‘t find ways around getting a less competitive course if you know your way.
Can I change from microbiology to computer science through the change of course form even if I’ve already been given admission for microbiology?

First, the departmental cut off marks for 2020/2021 admission exercise has not been released yet. What you saw must have been the previous cut off mark.
However, if your aggregate score is FAR less than the last cut off mark, you might start thinking (not looking for) of alternatives since there’s a chance that the cut off mark this will be close to the cut off mark last year.
But, if the general performance among Accounting aspirants this year is lower than last year’s, then the cut off mark will be lower and vice versa.
The point is, don’t rule out yourself until the OFFICIAL departmental cut off marks are released. If after that, you do not meet merit/catchment, you can now start looking for alternatives.
In the mean time, if you think your aggregate is low, starting thinking of alternatives.
To answer your question, yes you can change (though not usually on the school portal) and there’s hope for your course or another course depending on many factors.
