Vaio Corporation has launched a new Windows-powered smartphone in Japan dubbed Phone Biz. The company took the veil off its new device earlier today. It is expected to be available sometime in April with a price tag of JPY 50,000 ($424 USD).
The Vaio Phone Biz is the company’s first smartphone to run Windows 10 (Mobile) out-of-the-box. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) touchscreen display with a pixel density of 401ppi. A 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor of unknown clock speed, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 418 GPU. It includes a 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via MicroSD card (up to 64GB).

Sitting at the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, while it bears a 5-megapixel camera at the front. In connectivity compartment, the Vaio Phone Biz support Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS/A-GPS. It is backed by a 2800mAh battery.
Last year, Vaio launched its first Android smartphone, VA-10J in Japan, running Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The device packs a 5-inch HD IPS OGS display; quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor; 2GB RAM; 16GB storage; 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.
