Asus on Tuesday at CES launched a new compact desktop PC with mid-end gaming ability. The VivoPC X as called, is light in weight at 2.26kg and can be easily move around due to its portable design unlike other huge PCs in markets. Built with gaming in mind, the desktop hardware is VR-ready, meaning, a VR headset can be directly plug into an HDMI port to view the world of gaming in virtual reality.
The VivoPC X can be hook up to a monitor or two monitors at the same time via DisplayPort (supports Nvidia G-Sync) and two HDMI ports included. It is powered by a seventh-generation Intel Core i5 (Kaby Lake) processor, coupled with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics and 8GB of RAM. 512GB of SSD storage included means fast response time and lightning booting speed. It can also accommodate up to 2TB of HDD. Though the operating system it runs out-of-the-box is not revealed, we expect atleast Windows 10 Home 64-bit to be inside.
