Ole Gunnar Solksjaer seemed to have steadied the sinking ship at Old Trafford, with the club boasting a record of four wins in their last five games, with the only let down being a draw against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Meanwhile, down at Yorkshire, Sheffield United are rock bottom of the Premier League standings, with the club having gained only one point from the twelve premier league games.

The club seem to be heading back to the Championship based on current form unless there is a change in fortune. To the neutrals it has been shocking as Chris Wilder has managed to keep his job.

Sheffield are not playing good in any part of the field. The attack is not scoring goals, the defence is shippig in goals. The once physical team seem to be very fragile. Everything seems to be falling, and they seem to be relegated team as the season approaches halfway.

Although, Manchester United drew blanks last weekend in the Manchester Derby, it was not all bad, as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer clearly pointed out when he said Manchester United played one of their best games of the season.

The Red Devils had previously won four out of their last five games, including two games against West Ham and Southampton where they had to come from behind to claim victory.

So, The Red Devils are in free scoring form and one would expect goals from them. The defence which has had over 100 million pounds poured into it, is one that is not so dependable; with Manchester United conceding nine goals in their last 5 games in all competitions.

The dilemma of David de Gea or Dean Henderson as the man to stand between the sticks for the club, will still loom over the club, and as Ole battle that out, expect Manchester United to concede.

With Sheffield style of play, one would expect them to be very dangerous aerially, at a time, they were. But now this team looks like one that’s been drained of all sort of direction.

For today’s game, Manchester United would be the safe bet for a win. But the odds would not be much, when comparing the two teams. One may choose to add over 1.5 goals. As the goals do pour in from the Red devils when they mean to.

The odds for Sheffield to score would be quite high, only a risky bet would stake on a victory for Sheffield United, who have never won in the Premier League this season.

But then, this is the Premier League, you can never know. A draw isn’t likely. Though Sheffield is expected to sit deep, but United would eventually break through. With the second half ending up as the most scoring half.

Remember, never write up Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United, after all they finished ninth last season.
