Fingerprint sensor and scanner has been one of the high end features on mobile phones being recently released and it’s gradually finding its way on low end ones, we remember Swipe fingerprint enabled smartphone, the Sense which cost only $160 USD and offers fingerprint reader. The era of fingerprint first started in 2013 with Motorola Atrix which sports fingerprint sensor in the wake button located at the back of the phone followed by Apple iPhone 5s with the fingerprint-reader located on the home button, an innovation the firm simply called “Touch ID” but something new is here, Fingerprint scanning technology is about to be replaced by Iris scanning technology if what we perceive is true. It was first rumoured in early 2014 that Samsung is about to launch a smartphone that will features an Iris scanner which is Samsung Galaxy S5 to be precise but it never comes to pass though it does features a fingerprint sensor. However, a new phone is here to start the era of Iris scanning technology on mobile phones, the ViewSonic V55.
