Huawei Launches Honor Band 3 Fitness Tracking Band with Heart Rate Sensor

Huawei has announced a new fitness tracking band under its Honor brand in India called Honor Band 3. The device comes with a 0.91-inch OLED display with 128×32 pixel resolution that shows current activities data, enabling users to monitor their activities in real-time.

The Honor Band 3 can track steps, sleep, walk, and calories burn. It also has an inbuilt heart rate sensor with continuous heart rate tracking for monitoring heart beat. Furthermore, the band can be paired with smartphone running Android 4.4+ or iOS 8.0+ via Bluetooth to receive notification alerts of incoming calls, texts, emails and calendar, with supports of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

When there is an incoming call the band will show the caller ID on its display. It has the ability to mute call as well. The Honor Band 3 is waterproof up to 50 meters, making it suitable for swimming with “swimming mode” readily available on dashboard. It is also dust resistant.

The device measures 10.3 x 43 x 16.5mm; weighs 18 grams, and is powered by a 105mAh battery that can last up to 30 days in a single charge. It will be available in three different colors, Classic Navy Blue, Dynamic Orange and Carbon Black when it goes on sale. No details on its pricing.

Along with the Honor Band 3, the firm also introduced its flagship Honor 8 Pro smartphone in India, priced at Rs 29,999 (US$450). The phone was initially launched in Europe in April and it features a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (2560×1440) display, octa-core Kirin 960 chipset, dual 12MP rear cameras, and 4,000mAh battery.
