Thomas Tuchel’s second game in charge of the team saw many changes to the team, and even the game play. Following a record number of passes in the German manager’s first game, many Chelsea fans were happily anticipating the match against Burnley.
CCNWORLDTECH noticed three major talking point from the game.
NO GUARANTEED SPOT IN TUCHEL’S TEAM
This season, former Chelsea coach exhibited some rigidity likened to Maurizio Sarri, former Chelsea coach. With some players being regular starters. Thomas Tuchel seems not to be a fan of that.
Ben Chilwell was one of those who was guaranteed a spot in Frank Lampard’s team, with Marcos Alonso coming on in his stead, and the Spaniard wingback making a huge mark on the game with a sublime goal.
Kai Havertz, as well as Olivier Giroud was dropped after starting the previous match. Even Tammy Abraham was chopped off at halftime. Quite the manager the blues fans would adore.
EAGER TO IMPRESS
Many Chelsea players were so so eager to impress, with Mason Mount one of the major culprit.
The young Englishman spurning a host of chances alongside Timo Werner, who played the full 90 minutes having missed out on Thomas Tuchel’s first game in charge of the West London Club.
CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI
Having been rated as the next big thing coming from the club’s academy, Callum Hudson-Odoi has had mixed luck since his debut under Antonio Conte.
The young Englishman has been in and out of the team, with many top clubs in Europe being touted as the next home of the Englishman, with Chelsea refusing to budge.
Hudson-Odoi seem to finally have a manager who seem to trust in him and he has been the brightest point of Thomas Tuchel’s reign so far, and many fans would wish it continues for long.
It might be early, but the records have started for Tuchel and he sure knows how brutal the axe can be in Chelsea football club
