On the 27th of July, this decision was made through a virtual meeting by the honorable commissioners of education of the 36 states, Nigerian union of teachers (NUT), proprietors of private schools, and the chief executives of examination bodies. Immediately after the Sallah break, examination classes can resume. The Federal Government is assured to reopen the schools safely.

FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

The Federal Ministry Of Education will still hold another meeting today to address the issue. This meeting will be with the chief executives of examination bodies like NECO, NABTEB and NBAIS.
This meeting will finalize the decisions and also ensure that the dates are fixed appropriately. We would update you on today’s meeting, but for now, here is the new development.

We wish our Nigerian students a safe resumption and hopefully, COVID-19 will end soon so that every student around the world can safely return to school.
