Huawei during its Mate 9 event yesterday announced its latest fitness-tracking watch, Huawei Fit, with heart rate sensor. The smartwatch can track steps, sleep, walk, run, swimming, treadmill and cycling, and can continuously monitor the heart rate of the wearer.
Besides its tracking and monitoring features, the Fit can also be paired with smartphones running Android (4.4+) or iOS (8+) via Bluetooth to receive incoming call and text notifications including notifications from third-party apps. It is dustproof and waterproof certified with IP68 ratings and can survive in up to 50 meters deep of water, making it suitable for light swimming. Although the Huawei Fit lacks GPS, it offers real-time coaching.

According to Huawei, it is the first wearable device to achieve the TÜV-WT reliability and accuracy certification.
The device comes with a 1.04-inch touch e-ink always-on display with 208×208 pixel resolution, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Other features included are wake-up alarm with gentle vibration; 6-axis gyroscope + accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and CAP sensor. The Fit measures 229.4×39.4×9.9mm for small strap variant and 246.5×39.4×9.9mm for large strap variant. It is backed by an 80mAh rechargeable battery, capable of delivering up to 6 days of use in a single charge.
The Huawei Fit comes in small and large sizes, painted in Moonlight Silver and Titanium Grey colours with different colourful straps. It is priced at €149 ($165) and will be available in United States, Brazil, France, Germany, Portugal and other selected markets when it go on sale soon.
