HP today introduced the second-generation of one of its slimmest 2-in-1 hybrid tablet, Spectre x360, with a slimmer and lighter build, faster processor, and enhanced battery life. The Spectre x360 2016 is about 2mm thinner and 11% lighter than the 2015 model, measuring just 13.8mm at its thinnest point and weigh 1.29kg. The device still maintains its premium aluminium build and 360-degree rotatable hinge that offer Tablet, Stand, Tent, and Notebook modes, though the hinge has been redesign.
Another notable difference is the processor it packed inside. The Spectre x360 2016 is powered by a 7th-Gen Intel Core i5 (Kabylake) processor, and can be configured with up to 7th-Gen Core i7 (Kabylake). To remind you, the 2015 model is powered by a 5th-Gen Core i series. It comes in two display options, 13.3-inch diagonal full-HD (1920×1080) display and 15.6-inch diagonal Quad-HD (2560×1440) display.

The Spectre x360 2016 model includes up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. Taking entertainment and sound quality to the next level, the tablet is loaded with four speakers enhanced by HP Audio Boost and Bang & Olufsen. Apart from the positive changes in Design and Processor, the connectivity sector experience upgrade too. Sitting at the sides are two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 supports, and USB 3.0 Type-A port. Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11ac are not left behind.
Other features included are Webcam, backlit keyboard, and glass trackpad. The tablet runs Windows 10 Home out-of-the-box and can render up to 15 hours of use in a single charge. Fast charging is supported when charging the battery.
The HP Spectre x360 2016 is available at a starting price of $1,049.99 USD on HP online store and BestBuy in the U.S.
