BLU today launched Vivo 5R, the company’s latest mid-end smartphone in the United States. Wrapped in a full metal body, the device features a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touch display flaunting a brilliant full-HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixel and pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood, it is driven by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.
The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, it includes a 32GB of built-in storage with external storage support via MicroSD. A fingerprint scanner is equipped at rear for smart security, and speakers onboard are enhanced with DTS Surround Sound for best audio output.

In photography, the Vivo 5R sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), Sony IMX258 sensor and LED flash, capable of recording video in 1080p, while it bears an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, and GPS. It is fuelled by a 3150mAh battery.
Painted in Gold and Grey colors, the BLU Vivo 5R unlocked version is available on Amazon with a price tag of $199.
