BLU, the phone manufacturing company based in U.S, has launched a new flagship smartphone, Energy XL. Wrapped in an aircraft-grade aluminium body that measures 160.9 x 81.2 x 8.4mm and weigh 204 grams, the device features a 6-inch display boasting Super AMOLED panel with brilliant full-HD (1920×1080) resolution and pixel density of 367ppi, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz, slammed with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. A 64GB of storage is placed inside for hosting files and data, and there is an external MicroSD slot onboard for additional storage, with support of up to 64GB.

One of its major highlight is huge 5000mAh battery it packs behind, which can deliver up to 30 days of standby and 2 days of extreme use. Used battery juice are quickly replaced with fast charging function included. The phone boots Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, but we expect it to be upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It also sports a fingerprint sensor beneath the physical home button for smart security and authentication.

Sitting at the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, capable of recording full-HD (1080p @30fps) video, while a 5-megapixel camera take hold of the front. In connectivity aspects, the Energy XL supports 4G LTE Cat.4, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and USB Type-C.

The BLU Energy XL is available in United States via Amazon at a price of $299 USD, unlocked. It comes in Full Gold and White Silver colour options.
