Pantech, the not-so-popular Korean phone maker, who nearly goes into extinction last year but was revived at the very last minute, has introduced a mid-budget smartphone in Vietnamese market. The V955 as named is listed on the company Vietnam website with a price tag of VND 5,900,000 ($264 USD), however, its availability details is not revealed.
Specwise, the Pantech V955 features a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D Glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered on the inside by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. A 16GB of internal storage included can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The Pantech V955 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and supports dual SIM functionality. Sitting at the rear is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera, accompanied with dual-LED flash, while it sports a 5-megapixel camera at the front with a single LED flash placed besides it as well. In connectivity aspect, the device supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB.
The V955 comes in White and Black color variants. It is fuelled by a 2,500mAh battery.
