Xiaomi today has introduced its latest flagship smartphone in Redmi series in India, Redmi Note 3. The device comes in two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage version and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, each priced at Rs 9,999 ($148 USD) and 11,999 ($177 USD) respectively. It will be available from 13th of March at popular e-commerce stores across the region.
For those who might be confused, Xiaomi has earlier launched Redmi Note 3 in China in November last year, but the one released back then packs MediaTek Helio X10 chipset and 13MP rear camera, unlike the one launched in India today which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (formally known as 618) chipset and has a 16MP rear camera. However, besides these differences, all other specifications remains the same. These includes 5.5-inch FHD display, 5MP front camera, fingerprint sensor and 4,000mAh battery.
