Xiaomi today has added a new smartphone to its Redmi series in China called Redmi Note 3 Pro, a successor of Redmi Note 3 launched by the company in November last year. The device comes in two variants, 2GB RAM/16GB storage version and 3GB RAM/32GB storage version. The first version is priced at CNY 999 ($151 USD) while pricing of second version is not mentioned.

The Redmi Note 3 Pro features a 5.5-inch IPS display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 618 (now known as 650) processor clocked at 1.8GHz, paired with Adreno 510 GPU, which can be consider as a downgrade from MediaTek Helio X10 on its predecessor.

The smartphone runs MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop out-of-the-box, and offers dual SIM functionality with support of 4G LTE. A 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) is equipped at the rear, accompanied twin-tone LED flash, while it bears a secondary 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture at the front for taking selfie. Both the rear and front cameras can record video in full-HD (1080p).

On the connectivity front, the Redmi Note 3 Pro besides 4G LTE support Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11ac, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS and GLONASS. It is backed by a 4,000mAh/4,050mAh battery with fast charging. Xiaomi claimed the battery can charge up to 50 percent in 60 minutes.
