Two weeks after launching Enjoy 5 a.k.a Honor Joy 5, Huawei has again announced a new mid-budget smartphone in China, Honor Play 5X. It comes in two variants, 2GB RAM version and 3GB RAM version, priced at CN¥ 999 (approx $157 USD) and CN¥ 1,399 (approx $220 USD) respectively. Both will be available from first week of November, however, availability for international markets is not mentioned.

The Honor Play 5X features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS display, and packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box overlayed with the company’s EMUI 3.1.

There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard, which is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128GB). The dual SIM enabled Honor Play 5X is equipped with a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, while a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera sits at the front for selfie. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi, 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), GPS, and Micro-USD.

The Honor Play 5X bears a fingerprint sensor at the back, it is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
