Panasonic has launched a new smartphone to its Eluga portfolio in India dubbed as Eluga L 4G. The phone was announced by the firm on Monday and it’s expected to take-off before second week of May. The Panasonic Eluga L 4G carries a price tag of Rs 12,990 ($208 USD, #41,500 NGN), availability outside India is not yet known.

Notably, the Eluga L 4G is the first smartphone in Eluga series to support 4G LTE. It features a 5-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The phone is driven by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. At the rear, the Eluga L 4G packs an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, capable of recording full-HD (1080p) videos while it houses a 5-megapixel shooter at the front.

There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard that can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. Connectivity options included are 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, and Micro-USB.
