HTC One (M8 Eye) With 13MP Rear Camera Hit India Shelves – Specifications And Price

HTC on Saturday added a new series to its One (M8) flagship, the One (M8 Eye) as it is named was officially launched by the firm at an event that took place in India. The smartphone touting its 13-megapixel rear snapper hit India markets yesterday at Rs 38,990 (approximately $645) while the firm is yet to announce global availability.

Notably, the phone comes with the new Eye Experience for best image capture and editing, the app was first featured on Desire Eye which was launched earlier this week.

The One (M8 Eye) features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box overlay with the firm Sense UI. It is driven by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, clocked at 2.5GHz alongside with 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone sports a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie shot and packs a 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card. On the connectivity fronts, the One (M8 Eye) support Wifi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, 3G, GPS/A-GPS and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,600mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 309hrs of standby time (3G).
