he Chinese phone maker, Huawei, launched a mid-budget Android smartphone in China, the Honor 4 Play. The phone is priced at CNY 799 (approx $132). However, there’s l no word on global release.
The Honor 4 Play features a 5-inch IPS display with a HD (720×1280) resolution, it offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box overlay with the company’s custom Emotion UI.
The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 401 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM. This makes it in league with other 64-bit powered smartphone like HTC Desire 820, Huawei Ascend G7, Lenovo Vibe Z2, and Iphone 6. It comes with an 8GB built-in storage that is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The Honor 4 Play sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front camera for video calling. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, 4G LTE, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 150 hours of standby time.
Earlier this month, Huawei launched the Ascend Mate 7. The phablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features a 6-inch display, an octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and Fingerprint reader.
