The Chinese phone maker, Huawei, has finally unveil the long rumored Ascend Mate 7. The phablet comes in two storage variants with different RAM sizes, the 16GB version with 2GB RAM is priced EUR 499 (approx $661), while the 32GB version with 3GB RAM is priced at EUR 599 (approx $793) respectively.
The phone is expected to start shipping in coming weeks. The highlight of the device is its fingerprint scanner, which supports up to five set of different fingers.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 features a 6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 368ppi pixel density, its screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, and offers 4G LTE Cat 6 connectivity.

The Ascend Mate 7 is powered by an octa-core (1.8GHz A15 + 1.3GHz A7) Kirin 925 processor, and sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Sony BSI sensor and LED flash, while a 5-megapixel front camera is also onboard.
Connectivity options included with the new Huawei Ascend phablet are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, 3G, NFC, and GPS/A-GPS. It is backed by a 4100 battery.
