Alongside with its first gaming laptop, Xiaomi also launched its first Snapdragon 845-powered flagship smartphone, the Mi Mix 2S, successor of last year Mi Mix 2. It inherited the bezel-less form factor and the 18:9 5.99-inch display as the former and the display resolution is still Full HD+ (2160p).
Apart from its more powerful processor, the new Mi Mix 2S also sports 12MP dual rear-facing camera unlike its predecessor. The camera functionality is enhanced with AI for real-time scene recognition when taking a normal shot or portrait shot. The AI can detects 25 categories and 206 kinds of scenes, according to Xiaomi. The front camera has a 5MP sensor and is placed below the screen. The AI helps in taking selfie portraits too.

Two smart biometric security features are present on the Mi Mix 2S, the first is offered by the fingerprint sensor equipped at the rear and the second by the front camera which supports facial recognition. The phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 out-of-the-box and is backed by a 3400mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging supports.
