Iyabo Ojo Biography
Iyabo Ojo was born on the 21st December 1977, in Lagos State, Nigeria. She was born into a family of three emerging as the last child of the family. Her father’s name was Ogunro before she got married and changed to Ojo.
Being a native of Ogun State, Iyabo grew up and spent her childhood in Lagos where she had completed her basic education at the National College, Gbagbada.
Upon completion of her Senior School Certificate Examination, she gained admission into the Lagos State Polytechnic where she studied and bagged a Diplomatic Certificate in Estate Management.

Iyabo Ojo Career
Iyabo Ojo kick-started her acting career while she was still in secondary school. She was a member of her school’s dance group and had started participating actively in all forms of movies and short stories.
In 1998, Iyabo Ojo officially started her acting career as she became an accredited member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria and other professional groups in the movie industry.
She starred in her first screenplay movie in 1998 and the movie was titled Titanic. Although the movie was an English speaking one so Iyabo can be said to have starred in her first Indigenous Yoruba Movie in 2002.
The movie was titled Baba Darijinwon and she co-worked along with some other then-popular actors in the industry such as Doris Simon, Fathia Balogun, and many others.
About two years later, she recorded her first movie directed, and ever since then, she has been making waves in the industry with several awards won.
