Fans of the Blues would be happy to hear that the team’s most sparkling signing who has been sidelined twice this season due to injury may have a chance of participating in this game.
Frank Lampard himself confirmed the news in his update, saying, “He’s fit to train and has trained the last two or three days so I’ll have to make the decision on whether he’s ready to start.”
With the team struggling to be creative amidst a poor run of form which has seen Frank Lampard drop first team favourite, Timo Werner in recent games, Chelsea would be hoping to start the new year with a bang.
Chelsea are yet to win against any of the ‘Big Six’ this season, with Lampard struggling to find consistency in recent results, following a 17 game unbeaten streak.
