Frank Lampard’s 7th placed Chelsea travel to the King Power Stadium to face Brendan Rodgers 3rd placed Leicester City tomorrow, Tuesday by 9:15pm.
A win tomorrow would take Frank Lampard’s Chelsea a place above Everton to 6th position, albeit with two games in hand over Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton side.
A win for Leicester would temporarily lift them to the summit of the Premier League standings.
As much as Frank Lampard would have loved it, Ngolo Kante remains sidelined for the clash. The midfielder who was serving a one game ban in the Fulham game despite being sidelined due to injury, would also not play a part in his visit to his former club.

Without Kante, Lampard face a real challenge of taking charge of the midfield, with Leicester’s Ndidi and Tielemans, it is difficult to see Kovacic or Jorginho governing the midfield region.
Moreso, Leicester is not a team that sit back and allow you to take full position. They would want to attack and with Chelsea’s defence not recently giving assurances, it remains to be seen who the gaffer would pick. But one thing’s for sure, Thiago Silva would start in defence, and Christensen would not be picked. It now remains between Zouma and Rudiger.
Up front, the attack where Chelsea seem not to have it going for them in any way, fans would be clamouring for Hudson-Odoi to start, but not after Frank Lampard had spent millions on Ziyech – the Wizard, whose recent strength seem to be crossing at every chance.
Timo Werner is increasingly looking like another Morata and Fernando Torres as the days goes by, Christian Pulisic seem not to have it anymore since returning from injury.
It remains to be seen what can happen, but it doesn’t seem Chelsea would be winning this one.
