“Oba to já fún mi” is a gospel song produced as Hymns and choral genre in Yoruba language which means “The king who fights for me” by Gbenga Akinfenwa which was released in January 2021.
As Christians, there is a belief that there is a supreme King(Jesus Christ), who is who fights and wins the battles of those that diligently seek Him, and He can never lose or be consumed by any battle.
So this is a song that appreciates that King, for always coming to rescue and winning battles. If it had not been for this King, men would have swallowed me, some of us don’t even know how to pray neither do we know how to watch but God is always there to raise a standard when the enemies come like a flood.

He is such a powerful God that no battle can be greater than Him.
Thank you for fighting our battles for us, Jehovah our helper in difficult times, because we would have been destroyed considering the wishes of the enemies. He that fights someone’s battle even beyond his/her imagination, the Mighty King, His standard is unmatchable, even when the enemies come like a heavy flood, you will not be consumed because God is fighting for you, thank you God for fighting our battles.
