With the politicking for 2023 general election increasing by every hour of the day, there have been various calls, advice or comments from actors, stakeholders and even the citizens on where the two major parties should zone the ticket for the president ahead of the 2023 general election.
In the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress, the zoning discussion is something of a major concern with different factions and actors speaking without one accord about it.
Recently, governor Yahaya Bello while speaking to reporters in Abuja over the weekend said anyone from any zone was free to contest for presidency in 2023, as there was no zoning arrangement in the APC.

He said: “There is nothing like zoning in our party. In 2015, there was no zoning; many aspirants, including former governor Rochas Okorocha contested. “In 2019, there was no zoning; people in APC were not courageous enough to contest with President Muhammadu Buhari.”
