On friday, Gionee Elife S5.1 claimed itself a page in Guiness Book Of World Records as the world’s slimmest phone, touting a 5.1mm metal and glass body. However, a new smartphone has surfaced claiming itself as the world’s thinnest phone. The Blue Vivo IV, as it’s been named comes with a 5.5mm thin body, and it is currently available in the U.S with a price tag of $299.
The Blue Vivo IV features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 441ppi. It runs the dated Android 4.2 Jelly bean out-of-the-box and comes with 16GB of built-in storage with external storage support. The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor of unknown chipset, coupled with 2GB of RAM.
It sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the Blue Vivo IV features 3G, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,300mAh battery.
