Casio at last year CES event debuted first “rugged” Android Wear smartwatch WSD F-10, at this year CES2017 event, the company has again come on stage to showcase its latest Android Wear powered smartwatch, the WSD F-20, succesor of WSD F-10. Both smartwatches looks alike in terms of design though there are minor changes, and the WSD F-20 still maintains same 1.32-inch dual layer 320×300 pixel display as the former, however, there has been some improvements on the inside.

The Casio WSD F-20 features low-power GPS and comes with a new color map functionality that works both online and offline. The color-map is put into good use by the GPS which works independently and doesn’t need to be paired with a smartphone to acquire wearer’s location. During outdoor activities, users can see their real-time movement and exact location on the watch face. What’s more, a new app pre-loaded dubbed “Location Memory” let users tag or mark their current location and even write text on it on the color map.

The smartwatch runs Android Wear 2.0 OS and can be paired with smartphone running Android 4.3+ or iOS 9.0+ via Bluetooth 4.1 and WiFi connectivity onboard. It can track and monitor different activities via various sensors included such as gyroscope, accelerometer and compass, and can perceive changes in a natural environment via pressure (altitude + air) sensor.

The WSD F-20 comes with various apps such as the aforementioned Location Memory, Moment Setter, Activity e.t.c that further loud its monitoring volume. It measures 61.7×56.4×15.7mm and weighs 96 grams.

The Casio WSD F-20 comes in Black and Orange color and will be available sometime in April. No word on pricing.
