The US-based designer and watch maker Fossil, has announced two new smartwatches called Q Explorist and Q Venture, both running Google’s Android Wear 2.0 operating system. The first is sport-themed in design, having a crown dial with two press buttons placed on both of its side, while the later is a gentlemen type having a classic look with a single crown dial located on its side.
Both smartwatches features a circular touchscreen display and are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processors, clubbed with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. There are lots of customizable options available for users to choose from—different watch faces and themes, all made possible via Android Wear 2.0 OS they runs. The OS also comes baked-in with a standalone app store, fitness tracker for tracking step, calorie and distance, and Google Assistant.

The Q Explorist has a case size of 44mm and the Q Venture a case size of 42mm, both 12mm thick in diameter. Their straps are interchangeable and customizable with leather or metal, depending on users preference and pocket (metal costs more). These can be paired with smartphones running Android 4.3+ or iOS 9+ via Bluetooth to receive incoming call and text notifications. Futhermore, they are IP67 certified and can be use while bathing.
The Fossil Q Explorist comes in Rose Gold, Silver and Smoke colors, while the Q Venture comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver color options. Both are up for grab on the firm website at a starting price of US$255.
