Harman Kardon has launched a more compact portable version of its Allure smart speaker at the ongoing 2018 Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas. This have a smaller form factor when compared with the original version that was launched months ago.
The Harman Kardon Allure Portable as called, comes with Amazon’s Alexa digital voice assistant that let users control the device using their voice. With Alexa onboard, users can ask for weather updates, listen to news, shops, request latest sport stories and do many more via voice command. It has two far-field microphones that can pick up voice signal from a notable distance.

Moreover, users get to enjoy music with distinct clearity and audible bass, thanks to the embedded dual 20W 1.75-inch full-range drivers with two passive radiators that offers quality sound. The speaker is loud enough to fill an entire room, said the company. For maximum listening pleasure, the Allure Portable supports up to 96KHz/24bits when streaming music through Wi-Fi and it can be paired with Bluetooth-enabled smartphones for direct unrestricted offline audio playback.
Battery included is claimed to last up to 10 hours in a single charge. The Harman Kardon Allure Portable will be available in spring 2018 in selected markets at a price of $199 USD.
