HMD Goes Retro with Nokia 105 and Nokia 130 after 3310

Its been five months since HMD Global last introduced a new device, the last ones being Nokia 3, 5, 6, and 3310. There has also been rumours claiming HMD is gearing up to launch two new high-end smartphones later this year, well, now it seems the “unconfirmed” high-end smartphones will have to wait as the company unexpectedly today pull the wraps off two feature phones, Nokia 105 (2017) and Nokia 130 (2017).

These are revamped edition of 105 and 130 that were released in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Both features 1.8-inch colored display with QQVGA (128×160) pixel resolution and Nokia S30+ mobile operating system. The first which is the cheaper among the two has a 4MB of RAM and a 4MB of ROM (Read Only Memory) without MicroSD support, while the Nokia 130 2017 comes with a 4MB of RAM, 8MB of ROM (Read Only Memory), and a MicroSD slot that can accommodate up to 32GB of extra storage capacity.

The Nokia 130 (2017) also has a rear camera for taking picture, Bluetooth for sending and receiving files and a LED touchlight, while the Nokia 105 (2017) does not. Both device are pre-installed with the popular classic game, Snake Xenzia. Furthermore, these have FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB ports for charging.

The Nokia 105 (2017) and 130 (2017) will be available in single SIM and dual-SIM variants depending on region. The first is backed by an 800mAh removable battery that can renders 15 hours of talk time and the later a larger 1,020mAh battery with 11.5 hours of talk time. Pricing starts at US$14.5 for 105 and US$21.5 for 130
