Moreover, some mobile network carriers does not offer unlimited data among their basic plans. These most of the time make Android users to be on alert on how they use the data they purchased by monitoring the data used by each app installed in their phones.

Thankfully, there is an official way of viewing the amount of data used by system apps and user apps on Android. Simply follow the steps below to learn how.
Step 1
Go to the app launcher and select “Settings”. You can also drag down the notification bar and click the settings icon to go to the location.
Step 2
In Settings, go to “Connections”. In some Android phones, it may be listed as “Wireless Connectivity” or “Connectivity”.
Step 3
Under Connections, Wireless Connectivity or Connectivity, locate “Data Usage” and click on it as seen in the above image.
Step 4
To view the amount of data used by each app over a period of 30 days, click “Mobile data usage” and scroll through the list of apps and their respective data consumption.
