The Taiwanese phone maker, HTC, has officially announced HTC 10, its latest flagship smartphone and successor of One M9 that was launched in March last year. As known with all One M series, the device sports a full metal body that has a minimal profile of 145.9 x 71.9 x 3.0 – 9.0mm and weight just 161 grams. It features a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with Quad-HD (2560×1440 pixels) resolution, protected on the surface by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. As expected, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU.
The smartphone comes in two storage variants, 32GB and 64GB, both of which are further expandable up to 2TB via MicroSD card. The HTC 10 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box topped with the company’s newly introduced Sense 8 UI. The new User Interface comes with various improvements and additional functionality, this includes Freestyle Layout that enable a user to customize wallpaper with stickers, with each sticker representing an installed application. The Sense 8 UI also brings Auto Lock for locking selected applications, PowerBotics that auto shut down app that use excessive power, and Boost+ that helps maintain the overall health of applications running in background thereby saving memory (RAM) and battery usage.

A fingerprint sensor is placed beneath the physical home button for smart security, authentication and mobile payment (Android Pay). In photography, the HTC 10 sports a 12-ultrapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Laser Auto Focus and dual-tone LED flash, capable of recording 4K video, while a 5-megapixel pixel wide-angle lens camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS is equipped at the front. It comes with dual speakers enhanced with Boomsound and Dolby Audio, and three noise cancelling microphones are included as well.
Connectivity options onboard includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), 3G, 2G, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
The HTC 10 comes with a starting price of $699 USD. It will start shipping from May in Camellia Red, Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold and Carbon Grey colours.
