Unexpectedly today, the Taiwanese firm HTC has officially announced Desire 10 Pro, its latest mid-end smartphone in the “Desire” line-up. Clad in a sleek plastic-like body that is 7.85mm thick, the phone features a 5.5-inch IPS display flaunting a brilliant resolution of 1920×1080 pixel and 401ppi pixel density, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, it is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor clocked at 1.8GHz alongside with Mali-T860 GPU.
The Desire 10 Pro comes in two options, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, both posing MicroSD expansion slot with support of up to 2TB storage capacity. Android 6.0 Marshmallow takes care of all software activities with HTC Sense UI on top and are there two nano SIM slots onboard, both of which supports 4G LTE. For advance security, a fingerprint sensor is embedded at the rear for smart lock and unlock via biometric authentication.

In optics, the smartphone sports a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, Laser Auto Focus and twin-tone LED flash, while it is equipped at the front with a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Other connectivity options that comes with the device apart from 4G LTE are WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and NFC. It is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro will be available in Royal Blue, Polar White, Stone Black, and Valentine Lux colors when it go on sale. No details regarding pricing yet. Single SIM variant of the smartphone is expected to head to some regions.
