With more than five budget smartphones leaked on TENAA in recent weeks that are yet to surface, a new HTC mid-range smartphone has also join the queue today. The device named Desire 728w heads to TENAA in China for certification where some of its specifications were revealed.
Its been a while since HTC released an affordable smartphone, the last we can remember is Desire 820G+ Dual SIM which was launched at first week of June in the firm homeland. Others released after cost more than what average people can afford and they are primary aimed at Asia market, one of which was HTC One ME.

Desire 728w showing up on TENAA might means it’ll debuts in Asia first if ever it makes it out. As revealed, the device will features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It will be powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor slammed with 2GB of RAM. Other specifications includes 16GB built-in storage with external storage support, 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and 5-megapixel front camera.
The Desire 728w will be wrapped in a plastic body that measures 157.9 × 77.8 × 7.87mm, bearing a weight of 150 gram. Battery capacity it will packs along is not mentioned.
The phone may launch as Desire 728 rather than 728w, it may also comes in dual SIM variant. That’s all we know for now, we’ll surely let you know when it goes official (we hoped).
