Huawei is not left out in showcasing its metal-clad Ascend G7 at the ongoing IFA event in Berlin. The Chinese company announced the new budget Ascend G7 smartphone yesterday with a price tag of EUR 299 (approx $396). Availability details has not been fully announced but phone is expected to first start shipping in European countries.
The Huawei Ascend G7 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, it offers single SIM (Micro) functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The Ascend G7 is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage that is further expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD card.
The new Huawei metal-clad KitKat smartphone sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel secondary front camera. On the connectivity front, the Ascend G7 features Wifi with Hotspot, 4G LTE Cat 4, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and 3G. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
