Huawei has launched a new high budget tablets at the ongoing MWC event dubbed as MediaPad X2, which is the successor of Honor X1 launched last year. The device comes with a more powerful processor and runs latest Android OS which the former lacks. However, its pricing and availability are not revealed.

The Huawei MediaPad X2 also known as Honor X2 is 7.28mm thick, it features a 7-inch FHD (1920×1200 pixels) IPS display and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Emotion UI 3.0. The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Kirin 930 chipset with a clock speed of 2.0GHz. It comes in two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, both of which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The MediaPad X2 support dual-SIM with 4G LTE Cat.6 which is capable of rendering a download speed of up to 300Mbps. At the rear, it packs a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, BSI sensor, and LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera is equipped at the front. Connectivity options included are Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS/A-GPS. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery.
