Huawei has officially introduced a new high-end Android smartphone in China named G9 Lite. The device is wrapped in a full metal body with a minimal body profile of 146.8 x 72.6 x 7.5mm, having an overall weightness of 143 grams. It comes in two processor variants, 2.0GHz octa-core Kirin 650 and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, depending on market, both packing 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The phone features a 5-inch IPS display with full-HD (1920×1080) resolution, flaunting a pixel density of 424ppi. Android 6.0 Marshmallow governs all software activities, enhanced with the company’s Emotion UI 4.1, and there is hybrid dual SIM slots onboard that enables the secondary SIM slot to be use as a MicroSD card slot. A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back for smart security and authentication. In photography, the G9 Lite sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, while an 8-megapixel selfie camera is equipped at the front.

Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

The Huawei G9 Lite is priced at CNY 1599 ($245 USD) and CNY 1699 ($261 USD) respectively. It will be available in White, Black and Gold colours when it go on sale in China later this week. No word on global availability.
