Huawei MediaPad T3 7.0 and 8.0 Silently Goes Official

Huawei has silently launched two new Android tablets under its “MediaPad” portfolio namely, MediaPad T3 7.0 and MediaPad T3 8.0, both clad in slim metal body. The first comes with a 7-inch display with a lower pixel resolution of 1024×600 when compare with the later which comes with a larger 8-inch display with WXGA (1280×800) resolution. Huawei is offering the 8-inch model in two flavors, WiFi-only (KOB-W09) and LTE (KOB-L09).

Although the tablets looks nearly identical on the surface, their specs greatly differs on the inside. The MediaPad T3 7.0 is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8127 chipset with Mali 450 GPU and is offered in 1GB RAM + 8GB storage and 2GB RAM + 16GB storage versions. The MediaPad T3 8.0 on the other hand packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset coupled with Adreno 308 GPU and is offered in 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage versions.

MediaPad T3 8.0

The tablets are further segregated by Android OS versions they runs, with the smaller and less powerful 7-inch model running the nearly-dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow while the 8-inch model runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, buttered with EMUI 4.1 and EMUI 5.1 respectively.

In photography, the MediaPad T3 7.0 and 8.0 houses 5-megapixel rear-facing cameras without LED flash, while 2-megapixel selfie cameras are placed at the front. Common connectivity options includes Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G LTE (optional), and GPS. The first is backed by a 3,100mAh battery while the later comes with a larger 4,800mAh battery.

The MediaPad T3 7.0 will be priced around €129 ($138) while the MediaPad T3 8.0 pricing is expected to start at €219 ($234). No details regarding their availability.
