Huawei today launched Nova 2s, a mid-flagship camera-focus smartphone in China. The phone is clad in a metal body with reflective glass back cover, measuring 7.5mm at its thinnest point. It is one of the few Huawei smartphone released so far that runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.0 on top.
At the back, the Nova 2s is equipped with dual 16MP+20MP cameras with a large f/1.8 aperture for good photography. It also sports 20MP+2MP dual front cameras for pro-selfie shot. The device is powered by last year Kirin 960 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and128GB of storage. On the modern side however, it features a rich 6-inch 18:9 Full HD+ display that are seen on recent flagship.

It comes with a dedicated Hi-Fi audio chip and packs a 3340mAh battery behind.

The 4GB RAM+64GB storage version is priced at CNY 2699 (US$408); the 6GB RAM+64GB storage version at CNY 2999 (US$454), while the high-end version dubbed “Yixing Zhang” edition with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs CNY 3399 (US$514). The Nova 2s will be available in Black, Red, Grey, Blue, and Rose Gold colors when it go on sale later this month.
