Huawei has just launch its second smartphone with a notch at the top of the display, the Nova 3e. The P20 Lite claimed the first earlier this month and it seems Huawei is betting more on the success of the notch design while other top phone manufacturers are still dwindling behind in embracing this crazy trend started by Apple.
The display is 2.5D curved with the size set at 5.84-inch. The aspect ratio is 19:9, this stretches the Full HD resolution more vertically making it 2280 pixel in height while the width remains 1080 pixel. The phone is powered by a Kirin 659 chipset, and there is a 4GB of RAM onboard for multitasking. Lenovo is offering the phone in 64GB and 128GB storage versions.

At the upper-left on the back are two cameras, a 16MP camera and a secondary 2MP camera. Below these is a LED flash and a fingerprint sensor. The back cover is made of glass. The notch above the display harbors the front camera which has a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor with face recognition and AI beautification features.
The Nova 3e runs Android 8.0 with EMUI 8.0 on top. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

Price starts at CNY 1999 ($315) for the 64GB storage version, while the 128GB version pricing is pegged to CNY 2199 ($347). Pre-orders for the Nova 3e begins today, it will start shipping from March 27th in China.
